What an unforgettable night! C's staff asked us where we wanted to go and we suggested Swad Indian in Okayama. For most, it was their first encounter with Indian curry and we tried to contain our amusement as the sweat dripped off their foreheads and they made a frantic grab for the pitchers of beer and water--anything to put out the fires. The food was delicious...tandoori paneer, dal makhani, aloo gobi, biryani, pakoras, naan, vegetable korma, mango lassi and the list goes on...The owner even sent our kocho and kyoto senseis home with their pockets full of hot peppers (a treat for the wives).
